Feasibility Study of project and equipment’s







  • Conduct the feasibility study of the required equipment’s by involving end users and unit in charges

  • Discuss with the finance as well as purchase department about requirement of new requested equipment’s

  • Liaison with technicians and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product in terms of design and economic viability








Project Planning







  • Plan upcoming projects after consultation with head of the department

  • Monitors and execute projects after approval

  • Research on new materials/ Equipment’s to be used to support the project








Operational Activities







  • Write documents describing protocols, policies, standards for use, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment

  • Liaison closely with other medical professionals, such as clinicians and therapists as well as with end-users (patients and their care takers)

  • Arrange clinical trials of medical products

  • Advise and assist in the application of instrumentation in clinical environments

  • Analyze new medical procedures to forecast likely outcomes

  • Evaluates the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment

  • Ensures preventative maintenance on equipment








Equipment’s Purchase







  • Involve in purchase of BME Equipment’s for upcoming Project

  • Coordinate with purchase, finance and project department for purchase of new equipment’s and other hospital infrastructural related materials








Team Development and Training







  • Train the hospital employees on proper use of the equipment to carry out daily checks and maintenance

  • Conduct training or in-services to educate clinicians and other personnel on proper use of equipment

  • Manage team of engineers by creating schedules, tracking inventory, creating and using budgets, and overseeing contract obligations and deadlines








Job Interactions







  • Coordinates with IT department and project department for installation of software related to PACS, CR and to plan and execute the project

  • Link with equipment external partners for quoting best price for the new equipment as per the instruction from the HOD as well end users








Minimum Experience







  • 2 - 4 years
