Belvar Regional Office - Amsterdam NH



For our central finance team in Amsterdam – which we call “the Lab”- we are looking for an experienced BUSINESS CONTROLLER to manage our business unit, Belvar Development. The ideal candidate will have minimum 5-year relevant working experience in the field of accounting or financial project management.

Responsibilities include

  • Setup a solid financial project administration
  •  Maintain project codes and update systems accordingly
  • Perform project financial planning, forecasting, controlling
  • Develop budget procedures for project·Make cost price calculations for new projects and pre-opening budgets
  • Monitor and report financial progress of ongoing projects
  • Involved in the set-up of new accounting procedures (SOP) when needed
  • Regular reporting toward management teams on financial impacts on project changes
  • Working closely with the development group on ad hoc projects
  • Support internal and external relationship management through the production of reports, commentaries and meetings
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to improve our reporting systems and data capture to drive visibility and efficiency
  • Educated to (BA/Msc) degree level or equivalent in a related business or analytical subject; such as finance, business management, real estate, accounting, economics
  • Strong quantitative background with experience in financial modelling, valuations and financial analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively write and present reports and information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships at all levels
  • Experience from Real Estate is a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft NAV, Board software is a plus
  • Experience of working in the hospitality sector is a plus
  • Team player, further developing the team’s culture of proactively approaching tasks that any fast-growing company experience
  • Must be an effective and accurate organizer, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Must be able to prioritize in order to meet due dates and deadlines
  • Communication skills and building strong interdepartmental relationships is key success factor
