Frost & Sullivan in Saudi Arabia is poised for growth, and well positioned to be the growth engine for the Company’s Middle East operations. The Principal Consultant (PC) will work in a supervisory capacity, as team leads or as individual significant contributor. The PC will play a lead role in sizing client requirements, develop solutions, prepare and present proposals to potential clients. During the initial phase of a project, the PC reviews and analyzes client’s needs and affirms strategic aspirations. During the course of engagement monitors the progress against plans, updates clients regularly on the consulting team’s progress and achievements, and potential issues within the metals & minerals industry in the MENA region. The PC may oversee projects from Frost & Sullivan offices or might work at client sites. While focus is on Saudi Arabia clients, travel within Middle East will be required on need basis.

The job entails complete responsibility for winning new business as Engagement Manager, delivering projects as Principal Consultant and contributing to expanding Frost & Sullivan’s leadership in Saudi Arabia. This position description provides a summary only of the key responsibilities of the role. The incumbent may also be requested to assist with additional tasks from time to time

  • Drive the growth of metals & minerals consulting business through proactive business development and creating innovative offerings meeting demands of clients
  • This senior level consulting position is an essential and high visibility role within Saudi Arabia, which requires close client collaboration, the ability to establish strong alliances with key business stakeholders, conducting detailed needs analysis and drive the future development of Metals & Minerals consulting business in Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities

  • New business development working closely with our metals & minerals clients in Saudi Arabia
  • Develop and maintain effective business/partnership relationships with key clients in order to ensure continued business for Frost & Sullivan
  • Provide exceptional consultancy and advisory services to clients and lead groups of consultants on client based projects
  • Develop proposals including consulting design and costing projects
  • Anticipate and identify emerging business issues and/or opportunities
  • Develop ideas for multi-client studies and bring to market

Revenue Targets, New Business Development and Account Management

  • Personal annual sales/MC target will be provided on joining
  • The position is responsible for developing new business and managing account relationship to further Frost & Sullivan’s business interests with key metals & minerals accounts (both Government and Private companies)

Project Management and Consulting Delivery

  • Design, schedule, analyze and construct solutions that can meet the demands and specifications of the client
  • Stay on top of the operations of the consulting teams, and oversee their day to day activities to ensure smooth delivery of work products
  • Demonstrate ownership and work in close proximity with the clients to figure out the possible solutions of the business related issues and challenges
  • Mentoring and train new employees and manage team of consultants of client based projects undertaken by the metals & minerals team
  • Evaluate the current processes and make necessary improvements/suggest changes – both for client projects and internally at Frost & Sullivan

  • 6-15 years in business planning and operations of which at least 5 years in a consulting firm and at least 3 years in the strategy and operations team of a medium to large sized firm
  • At least 2 years of experience of managing consulting teams in the Saudi Arabia
  • Experience in handling detailed feasibility studies for metals & minerals products (supporting clients’ Greenfield/Brownfield expansion plans) in Middle East

  • Understanding of the Metal Industry Value Chain
  • Consultative thinking, focus on delivering the story, not just the data
  • Strong analytical skills with sound understanding of and passion for data
  • Master’s degree in Business Management (MBA or equivalent). Candidates with material science or metallurgy shall be preferred (but not a must)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with complete fluency in the Arabic and English languages
