  • This position is to provide accounting service and issue solution under procurement to payment function (PTP) for Burberry Japan K.K.
  • Performing accurate and timely recognition of accounts payable on office and store related expenses, employee expenses claims and reconciliation of the related accounts.
  • First contact point for all departments regarding Accounts Payable (Non-trade payable, Employee payable) as well as enquiries on payments  
  • Responsible for invoice processing (including 3rd party vendors and inter-company) 
  • Follow up exceptional scenario with business department and vendor to ensure full compliance with company policy and timely payment.
  • Review and process employee expense claims to ensure compliance with internal Travel & Expense Policy
  • Direct buyer to global procurement for Ariba related buying question on Purchase order creation. 
  • Liaise with vendors and performing vendor statement reconciliation and vendor master maintenance.
  • Guide buyers on new intercompany policy implementation and eligibility and collect enough documents for intercompany cross charge if applicable for posting. 
  • Assist with the financial closing and prepare month-end reconciliations & schedule.
  • Support internal/external accounting audit, tax audit & stock takes
  • Fund request to UK treasury team and reports to local banks
  • Assist in any ad-hoc assignments and system implementation as required 
  • Handle general filing and administration work
  • University degree or adequate education preferable in accounting or business.
  • Accounting & tax background with hands-on experience of 5 years minimum.
  • Fluent written and Japanese-speaking skills capability to communicate to Burberry Japan office and store team.  
  • Fluent English written and speaking capability. (TOEIC 750 over)
  • Good experience and knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of International Financial reporting standard & Japanese GAAP. & indirect tax knowledge.
  • Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting relevant processes.
  • Mature & responsible, Good communicator and team player, capable of working independently and proactively.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, well organized & highly systematic 
  • Passion for fashion industry and retail experience preferred.
  • Flexible to changes and continuous effort for improvements.
