Network Engineer

Role Overview

The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting design connectivity, continuing to develop and refine our high-availability application. You’ll work with team members across the globe to help shape our existing infrastructure and help to solve problem issues for mission-critical operations.

You will have an opportunity to…

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of highly available network architectures
  • Provide support, maintenance and operations of network. Ensures the required network uptime/SLA
  • Perform on-going client system administration and scheduled maintenance jobs
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network related issues and work diligently until issues have been resolved or handed off to the appropriate party
  • Maintenance of our global production network infrastructure across multiple data centers
  • Work with service providers and data center remote hands support to schedule circuit turn ups and troubleshoot issues
  • Coordinate with an international support team to create best practices for quickly addressing customer needs
  • Respond proactively to automated incident alerts, and monitoring system events
  • Experience in circuit turnup (MPLS, VPLS, Internet connectivity)
  • nstalls, configures, and maintains network core systems, switches, routers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems.
  • Monitors the capacity, utilization, workload, and service level of network.  Documents information to support maintenance or upgrade of network facilities and equipment.
  • Conducts routine inspection and audit of network systems, software, internet links, and tools to ensure regular performance tuning and maintenance of systems and usage monitoring
  • Operates and tests network software and hardware configurations and troubleshoots network failures and errors
  • Schedules change request activities for corrective and preventative maintenance to ensure that all network systems are operational
  • Implements and maintains enterprise-wide network infrastructure design.
  • Provides second level assistance/support to technical concerns and troubleshoots any reported problem pertaining to the network system handled (incl. restarting of systems after outages, crashes, hardware failure, and multi-user operating systems)
  • Conducts study and recommends new or upgrade of network hardware (incl. core systems, switches and routers) and software (incl. Firewall systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Content Filters, etc.) for purchase and usage
  • Analyzes network systems and resource capacity to discuss and advise on the appropriate/optimum allocation of network systems to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Maintains a broad and up-to-date knowledge of the rapidly changing state-of-the-art computer network technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  • Configures  basic commands to security and wireless technologies.
  • Speaks of ideas clearly and articulately in all presentation and situation may it be for internal or external clients; ensures that the point or idea is well expressed and understood
  • Have a good operational understanding of core networking technologies, platforms, tools, and protocol.

  • Graduate of any IT Related Courses
  • CCNA Certified
  • Solid experience in VOIP, Cisco switches and routers, and different Routing protocol
  • Knowledge in different IT processes or ITIL practitioner (change management and incident management)
  • Experience in Firewall, IPS, proxy and different IT Security equipment
  • Documentation skills and use of programs such as Visio
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Experience working with different Telco providers (Local and International)
  • Experience working in a network operating center/environment (NOC)

Specific skills we would love to see…

  • Knowledge with different cloud solution (office 365, Public cloud, AWS, Azure, Google cloud)
  • Participated in Network Build out and implementation
  • Have 2-3 years experience with atleast 2 years BPO portfolio
