In this role, you will Assist with designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems and components to ensure compliance with required specifications, economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. Design projects from the conception of the design through implementation, testing, and handover. May be involved in maintenance programs and life-cycle replacements. Other responsibilities are listed below:

  • Assists with designing and manufactures electrical equipment for use across many sectors, including building industry services such as lighting, heating, ventilation, and production and distribution of power
  • Inspects project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to electrical engineering design specification and safety standards, analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geological data to plan projects and create computer aided design drawings
  • Conducts daily field surveys and system assessments
  • Provides technical advice to the Government regarding design, construction, or program modifications
  • Performs quality assessment/quality control inspections of completed projects, and periodically reports design progress to the QA Team

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more (3+) years’ experience with Electrical and HVAC design is required
  • Current Secret Clearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comfortably interact and provide recommendations to high-level commanders/executives in a conservative manner
  • Have an understanding and experience with large, complex IT projects and organizations
  • Excellent customer service and database management skills
  • Able to create drawings, schematics, construction diagrams, equipment selections, load calculations, control diagrams, and specification documents
  • A commitment to your profession demonstrated by participation in providing support, guidance and memberships in professional associations
