Purpose of Role

  • Drive and validate innovative process to enable frontline manufacturing base globally and consistently.
  • Drive digital-to-digital process to connect as many aspects of production process as possible.
  • This requires automation and digital to digital development that enable our manufacturing partners be productive, consistent and agile.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and investigate innovate technology that could be beneficial to consumer’s experience / safety & quality / manufacturing productivity.
  • Research, validate and standardize process that enable digital-to-digital development for turnover as manufacturing in GS vendors.  Partner with key technology developer to deploy custom solutions.
  • Support all intellectual property activities regarding potential innovate technology being applied within company by working alongside with legal entity and key vendors.
  • Support vendor upskilling regarding onboarding innovate technology for production.
  • Conduct research and benchmark trends of digital transformation and promote enablement of frontline workforces.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience in field of digital development and 3D printing.
  • Technical knowledge in hard good production and production development process.
  • Degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing engineering, Automation or related discipline.
  • Technical knowledge of delivering products by means of digital development and advanced manufacturing process.
  • Demonstrated experience in product design and development, manufacturing and automatic tools design.
  • Preferably demonstrated manufacturing experience in China and outside of China (e.g. India, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.)
  • Legal agreement and patent application experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment while independently managing multiple projects, partners, and priorities.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, evaluate alternatives, make and communicate decisions, drive to resolution.  Strong blend of analytical decision making and creative problem solving.
  • Proven track record that candidate is effective in cooperation, communication & influence across functions and colleagues in different locations & time zones.  Strong command of English.  Mandarin considered as a plus.
  • Sound persuasive skills to navigate resistance to change and influence people to accept the solutions.
