As the Compliance Manager for the Netherlands you are responsible for
providing leadership and direct oversight for AbbVie’s compliance program in
the Netherlands.
The Compliance Manager creates a best-in class compliance program
in partnership with the Compliance Steering Committee (CSC), leading affiliate
CSC meetings. You provide strong business partnership
and support across all Affiliate divisions, operating within well-defined
expectations with supervision and guidance from the OEC Director. Furthermore
you contributeto the Global compliance program by developing, implementing and
managing initiatives across multiple geographies.
You will be part of an international
team, sitting in the AbbVie Office of Ethics & Compliance Organization. The
position is based in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, reporting to the OEC Director.
Your responsibilities
+ Provides guidance on proposedAffiliate programs, tactics and strategies, identifies basic legal, regulatoryor other relevant issues and refers matters to respective departments, analyzesalternatives and proposes solutions to the business.
+ Providesguidance and support in The Netherlands on national industry codes andregional/international industry codes (e.g. CGR, EFPIA and IFPMA),government regulations including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act andother initiatives sponsored by the Office of Ethics & Compliance.
+ Performscompliance risk assessments, trend analyses and provides and implementsbest practices recommendations.
+ Implements,manages and interprets compliance policies, procedures and practices
+ Develops, implements, andcoordinates awareness, education and training programs that focus on theelements of the Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures andapplicable industry codes and regulations.
+ Organizes and maintains ethics andcompliance records, documents and files and document databases.
+ Develops, implements, modifies andoversees the execution of the Affiliate monitoring plan to ensure compliancewith policies and procedures.
+ Develops, implements, modifies andexecutes Affiliate non-RCI (reportable compliance incident), supports InternalInvestigations’ Procedures (communicating with and at the direction of AbbVieInternal Investigations as necessary).
+ Assists Affiliate with complianceaudits, oversees the fulfillment of auditors’ requests, acts as liaison betweenbusiness and auditors during on-site activities, evaluates and responds to allbasic and routine preliminary findings and recommendations, guides the businessin preparing corrective action to address basic and routine findings andrecommendations, and ensures timely completion.
+ Participates in local Industrygroup meetings, when applicable, identifying changes and trends in the externalenvironment, communicating them to the CSC and the OEC Area &International Leadership, andimplementing necessary changes.
+ Partners with peers in othergeographies to advance the Global compliance program.
Your qualifications
+ Bachelordegree required
+ Minimum of 5years of professional experience with, or exposure to, business functions suchas compliance, finance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs
+ Pharmaceuticalindustry experience preferred
+ Ability to work in multicultural cross-functional teams
