We are looking for a suitable candidate for the role for an AVP, Security Platform Operations Engineer. This role reports to the Head, Cyber Security operations within TG, and is responsible to operate and manage GIC’s cybersecurity technology platforms.


Responsibilities

  • Provide operational technology management for key TG cyber security platforms. These platforms include privileged access management, encryption, host and network security such as malware and network intrusion detection.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for key cybersecurity technologies.
  • Act as an escalation engineer for key production or platform related issues.
  • Support and execute key programs to improve cybersecurity operations.
  • Work with key cybersecurity vendors to review, identify and improve cybersecurity services.
  • Direct, drive process and documentation improvement in platform operations, escalation procedures, workflows and tasks;
  • Manage the escalation process and review incident and problem management reports;
  • Engage in matters such as cybersecurity license renewal, technology replacement or upgrade.
  • Establish a culture of collaboration and excellence within security operations.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and breaking news that may be relevant, especially relating to our existing or future investments in cybersecurity;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience preferably in financial services or asset management industries, with a minimum of 3 years in cybersecurity platforms
  • Professional qualification such as SANS, CISSP / CISM / CEH will be advantageous.
  • At least 3-5 years of management or team lead experience (Preferred).
  • Broad-based experience across multiple cyber security areas, such as network and host security, endpoint security and cloud security.
  • Experience in use of cyber security products such as privileged access management, encryption and host or network security.
  • Be a good team leader and excellent communicator with both non-technical and technical audiences.
  • Strong communications and influence skills

  • Demonstrates a problem-solving mindset with intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and proactive solutions.
  • Strong communications, both written and verbal with the ability to present control topics to a broad audience.
