Main Purpose of role:

The main purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of the Toys-R-Us regional relationship, including joint business planning, major improvement initiatives, negotiation of trade terms, troubleshooting individual market challenges, omnichannel roadmap, reporting/analysis of performance, and more. In addition, the role will support select activities for other Global accounts in the region.

This role requires working with the regional Toys-R-Us team, Hasbro sales leadership, and local sales and marketing teams to tackle the key tasks mentioned above.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Toys “R” Us Regional Omni-Channel (Asia Region)

  • Manage Toys “R” Us (TRU) regional relationship, a vital customer relationship across Asia that includes: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand
  • Drive multi-market Joint Business Planning and Range Planning with support from Omnichannel Director, aligning a productive growth portfolio with exclusive marketing and product opportunities across offline
  • Partner with TRU to identify ‘win-win’ regional initiatives to increase sales, improve profitability, or address pain points/challenges
  • Develop and manage joint roadmap with TRU to enhance omni-channel capabilities, such as system integration, increasing solids portfolio, test & learning for new online to offline promotion opportunities, etc.
  • Ensure TRU has access to all the necessary product info & assets to build out strong brand stores and product pages online, as well as run promotions supporting our products
  • Align joint business targets and KPIs for mutual business growth and track performance, coordinating mitigation actions if failing to meet certain KPIs
  • Manage POS / Ships reporting and analysis for TRU business to global and regional counterparts
  • Support renegotiation of investment structure for TRU to better drive the account’s growth across Asia

Support Sales Leadership with Other Global Customers in Region

  • Aid Global and local teams to expand presence or run initiatives for Global accounts that have presence in select local markets
  • Help with reporting on Global accounts for Asia markets to Sales Leadership
  • Support efforts to streamline operational tools for key Global accounts (e.g., improvement to ERP systems)

Skills / Knowledge/ Experience / Qualification requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Degree level education (or equivalent), within business, commerce, marketing or sales related fields

Experience Required

  • Sales experience, ideally in a consumer goods / commercial environment & for an omni-channel or eCommerce customer
  • Experience managing customer/client relationships for large accounts

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Experience of working in remote teams
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, changing retail environment
  • A confident and effective communicator, with people at all levels and cross-culturally, both verbal and written
  • Good cross-functional networking skills, ability to persuade and influence
  • PC skills – Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Provides sound rationale for recommendations
  • Fluent in English, additional Asia-market languages a plus
  • Experience in creating and delivering effective presentations as a tool to either inform, train or negotiate with others
