Job Description

As a Global Frontend IE Modeling Manager, you will be leading a team of area capacity planners collaborating with manufacturing & TD on bringing the right tool into the network, optimizing the existing fleet of tools, calculating and informing capital impacts of process changes to senior leaders. Based in Singapore, you will be responsible for tying many parts of the business in order to drive the execution of manufacturing and cost-savings processes, including supply chain, finance, engineering, procurement, production, and planning. The ability to understand and effectively inform the capital impacts of manufacturing changes is essential. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Demonstrate familiarity with the variety of Front End Operation area equipment and their physical processing methods (Batch, Single wafer, multi-chamber, cluster, etc.)

Optimize capacity of installed equipment, initiate and lead network and tool capacity optimization studies

Collaborate with partners to understand the future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes

Complete financial analyses before new capital equipment are purchased including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing, and equipment repurpose

Manage network tool utilization strategies to optimize company's capital spending

Design, track, and inform capital change proposals to manufacturing senior leaders through reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) and formal presentation

Build and implement tools to audit manufacturing capital efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities across the company

Manage and inform improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in manufacturing

Utilize new (e.g. Python, Angular) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models

Audit model assumptions versus actual factory performance and collaborate with HVM sites on benchmarking equipment performance

Coaching and mentoring Team Members to reach their goals and potential

Build trust-based relationships within the team and across organizations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business management, engineering, supply chain management or a related field of study

Combination of education and related industrial engineering work experience is required

Knowledge of area process, product flow, tool attributes, well understanding of tool capacity assessment includes MA, Util , RPT and Cycle time

Strong people management skill demonstrated. Ability to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedback

Excellent interpersonal skills and good analytical skills and able to work independently

Knowledge and practical application of statistics, data analysis and problem solving

Proven ability to clearly inform data and findings both verbally and in writing

Early morning, evening and weekend hours required to facilitate work cross-sites (different time zones)

Recommendation by peers and current reports that they are an excellent mentor, team builder and motivator and encourage Micron Values

A thorough knowledge of self-strengths and weaknesses and be open to regular, direct feedback to address areas of weakness
