MediaCom is searching for a Social and Performance Executive to join our performance team in the strategic planning, implementation, optimisation, analysis and reporting of paid social campaigns across multiple industries. You will be working and communicating with internal teams and top tier clients across a variety of publishers including Google, Bing, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Digital Manager alongside Client Group Directors

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Earned certification in: Advanced Search and Marin Software (bidding technology)
  • Implemented campaigns in: Google, Bing, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Assisted your internal team with client deliverables and internal processes

In six months:

  • Learned advanced skills in: Excel, conversion and bidding technology
  • Presented best in class results to: clients and internal teams
  • Led your internal team with client deliverables and internal processes

In 12 months:

  • Earned certification in: YouTube advertising and Google Analytics
  • Successfully mentored assistants in their personal development
  • Earned praise from your internal team and clients for a job well done

Responsibilities of the role:


  • Day to day client interaction
  • Regular client reporting


  • Develop implementation strategies
  • Keyword research, account structure and ad copy development
  • Bid management towards client goals
  • Work closely with client team to develop integrated strategies
  • Ongoing campaign development and optimisation
  • Apply innovative and advanced paid social strategies to improve results
  • Manage external supplier relationships


  • Provide support for Line Manager and Director
  • Provide implementation support for team
  • Assist in training and development of team members


  • Budget pacing and management
  • Monthly client invoicing
  • Keep your timesheet up to date (weekly)
  • Assist your manager in resolving account queries

Stretch Responsibilities

  • Begin to manage clients on a day to day basis
  • Develop campaign strategies and proposals
  • Regularly present to clients
  • Take a commanding role in post campaign reports
  • Identify and execute upsell strategies
  • Demonstrate best in class paid social execution
  • Consistently deliver on client goals and targets
  • Demonstrate consistency across core and stretch responsibilities
  • Consistently demonstrate MediaCom behaviours

What you will need:

  • 2 years’ experience in search, social, programmatic, or digital across a range of industries
  • Hands on implementation and conversion optimisation experience
  • Analytical thinking and creative approach
  • Previous experience of managing budgets and delivering effective results
  • An excellent work ethic and problem solving skills
  • Able to follow instructions, be organised and work autonomously
  • Have a passion for learning
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills; especially Excel
  • Google Fundamentals qualification
  • One or more of these qualifications will be highly favourable, but not essential:
    • A degree ideally in marketing or ecommerce
    • Customer service qualification or experience
    • Related technology certification (Adwords, Marin, Excel, etc.)
  • Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and consideration for others
  • Take responsibility for your personal output and productivity
  • Be an effective presenter. Have well-developed written and verbal skills
  • Attend and initiate actions from client meetings
