Mindshare - Singapore



You will be responsible for defining the search strategy for the APAC region for one of the biggest Mindshare clients. You will be responsible for providing search leadership, fostering teamwork, ensuring best in class search operations, planning and execution and managing a team of experts.

A key strategic role for the digital team, you will work together with the regional Digital Lead and the APAC Search Director to ensure that the search strategy and the search operation meet best practice. A passion for data & analytics are a must, as this role requires leverage search data & insights to support planning decision.

Measures of success-

In three months:

  • Strong understanding of client business
  • Build professional relationship with external vendors and lead performance-driven strategies with the clients
  • A keen understanding of the various platforms and systems which power digital media in the region
  • Work closely with the Hubs, Local and Global team search team to optimize overall campaign performance
  • Established great working relations with senior Clients and our Client leads
  • Understood key accounts and provided a POV on how to further develop them

In six months:

  • Achieve target KPIs across key clients and accounts
  • Up skill Performance of executives in the regional team
  • Up skill planners in the local team
  • Be on top of all the betas and innovations in the digital space and be able to articulate and share with internal and external stakeholders and how it could be relevant and useful to them
  • Be able to quantify strategic directions for the brands

In 12 months:

  • Be comfortable in developing proposals and preparing search strategies in line with the overall brand objectives
  • Be able to lead and provide strategic insights on Search matters to the teams you work with
  • Be confident in taking part in strategic meetings and support the overall digital strategy with search strategic inputs


Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Providing search strategic leadership to the Client
  • Partner with account & specialist teams to drive integrated performance solutions
  • Partner with Business Unit Managers and Digital Leads on all aspects of search/performance plan development and recommendations
  • Become the point of contact for the Client and Mindshare teams on Search matters
  • Be able to liaise with other agencies and protect Mindshare interest
  • Explore content gaps of current Client's website and lobby the Client's digital team to create the content needed
  • Mastery of Tier I engine UIs and capabilities, relevant SEM and Paid Social management platforms and strong knowledge of Tier II vendors and capabilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client business goals and marketing objectives, translating them into search objectives/strategies
  • Prepare and present strategic search recommendations to client and agency management, including objectives, strategy, rationale, and provide analysis and projections to support recommendations
  • Design and implement or oversee implementation of single and multi-variant tests to increase campaign efficiency
  • Supervise the implementation of all search campaigns across the Region
  • Keep abreast of current events, search/digital media trends and any target market industry trends that impact business
  • Serve as expert in performance optimization
  • Account Management
  • Keep media and agency partners updated and informed on status of all account projects
  • Initiate appropriate cross-functional client meetings
  • Leads campaign financials (budgets/billing)
  • Build links between organic and paid Search working with Client’s Search leads and agency experts

What you will need: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Paid Search role and managing executives
  • Proven record of success in running performance-driven campaigns
  • Understanding of SEO and Analytics tools
  • Comfortable using Microsoft excel and manipulating dashboards – An analytical mind that is creative as well as data driven to identify trends/patterns and insights
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent understanding of media fundamentals
  • Adherence to tight deadlines while delivering flawless work
  • Extremely business-minded and detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Show ability in training and leadership capability
