The Regional Marketing Director FemCare GFO-APAC is a key strategic leadership role within the Global Franchise Organization (GFO). This is a pivotal role at the intersection of the global need state strategy and local brand relevance and implementation. This position reports into the Vice-President, Global Feminine Care Franchise and will be based in Singapore.

The Global Feminine Care category is a $30B category WW, and around $6B in countries where J&J has presence and mesures. While the company holds a #4 position in total Global market, it is #2 in the consolidated active markets for J&J. The portfolio consists of CAREFREE®, our global mega-brand in the Liners and Intimate Care segments, STAYFREE® in the Napkins segment (which has other local brand names under the same positioning across the different markets, i.e. Modess in the Philippines) and o.b.® in the Tampons segment, today very strong in EMEA and still an untapped opportunity in other regions. Significant upside exists to continue to drive growth of the entire FemCare portfolio through both category development and potential geographic expansion.
The Regional Director will be responsible for serving on the Global Franchise Leadership Team (GFLT) for the need states and working with the GFLT to develop the global need state strategies. In addition, this person will lead development of the regional strategic plan in line with the global strategy, working closely with local clusters and markets to shape it in the best possible way to leverage Global Strategies while addressing Local needs. Specifically, the Regional Director will:
+ Crystallize regional and local insight to influence global creative process and innovation for each brand within the Franchise in order to drive relevance for APAC
+ Lead Regional Franchise Leadership Team (RFLT), w/ deep understanding & alignment to Region Strategies, Tactics & KPIs
+ Have close partnership with Commercial Leaders
+ Gain local insight / market intimacy with focus on the lead markets (India, Philippines and Pacific)
+ Responsible for strategic direction for FemCare in APAC to ensure a holistic strategy for all markets within region
+ Conduit of communication between Local Market and Global
+ Represents & Reinforces Global Vision & Strategy for Need States & Brands within Region
+ Represents and informs Global team of Local Market nuances, needs & competitive environment
+ Lead Region project team to implement innovation
+ Partner w/ region supply chain / PMO to implement regional initiatives
+ Lead project team for formulation development (based on global chassis, respecting regional regulations and supply chain requirements)
+ Lead regional cascading of Global projects
+ Adapt packaging graphics to region/markets
+ Roll-up regional content needs and influence global content toolkit and production. Lead content production for specific initiatives via RFLT in partnership with lead countries when appropriate
+ Lead the development and implementation of the growth model for the megabrand and the globally stewarded brands within the franchise for the region
The Regional Director will ensure regional and local alignment for all plans including: deployment and adoption of the global playbooks and visual identity for the brands and ensure a strong partnership with the global Content and Innovation leaders to ensure regional input is included in global design. It is also expected that a solid 3Y plan for both innovation and communication is crafted for each priority market, in partnership and with the approval of both Global and Local teams.
In addition, the Regional Director will identify opportunities to accelerate growth in existing priority markets and develop entry strategies for new markets (when appropriate) in partnership with local marketing teams. He or she will develop transferable success models across countries, transferring learnings and best practices globally in partnership with the Global Franchise Leadership Team. In addition, this person will have responsibility for the marketing talent on the Franchise, playing a leadership role in talent management and succession planning.

+ A BA degree is required.
+ Master in business or marketing specialization preferred.
+ A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated brand leadership role within a consumer-packaged goods organization, preferably with a breadth of functional and/or industry experience is required.
+ Experience marketing in a digital world, (i.e., social media, e-commerce, analytics, on-line) is required.
+ Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with regional groups is preferred.
+ Demonstrated track record of people development and leadership is required
+ Experience leading in a matrix environment and cross functional teams is required.
+ Experience in successful partnership with R&D organizations to develop innovative products supported by specific and relevant brand messaging is required.
+ Proven success in developing strategic agency partnerships to build long term brand health and business is required.
+ Demonstrated financial acumen in making effective business decisions is required.
+ Experience in providing marketing thought leadership—taking consumer insight and using it to drive thinking and good decisions, is required.
+ Demonstrated skill in executing and delivering brand leadership in a similar integrated brand leadership role is required.
+ Proven success in working with an agency and drawing upon other external interfaces such as social media and digital marketing to both understand the space and drive effective brand decisions specific and relevant brand messaging is required.
+ Proven record in project management (preferably at global/regional level) is required.
+ Experience living/working in one market within the region is preferred.
+ Ability to travel up to 25% is required
