About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Legal Secretary to join our Policy and Regulatory team based in our Sydney office.

This role provides a fantastic opportunity to get fully involved with the practice. This role will assist a Partner and four Lawyers in all areas of secretarial support, including managing crucial team administration, handling client queries and managing the monthly billing process. 

What does the role involve?

  • Diary management
  • Administrative support to the partner and fee earners in the practice group
  • Managing confidential firm information and opening new matters
  • Inputting and maintaining client data into client relationship software (Interaction)
  • Assisting with client queries
  • Managing the monthly billing process

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience as a Legal Secretary in a Policy & Regulatory practice group or prior experience in a similar role.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience working in a medium to large sized law firm in a similar practice area and be highly organised.  You should be able to work efficiently and use your initiative, as well as being proactive in your approach to tasks and showing exemplary attention to detail.

Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, as are excellent communication skills. You will be capable of using automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite and InterAction preferred).
