SUMMARY
Note - This is a temporary position for 3-4 months
The Public Relation Officer will coordinate the collection and processing of documents required for inbound and outbound immigration. This position will ensure compliance with Granite’s policies and processes involving local and International Immigration practices.
The PRO will work with Government offices to complete inbound immigration processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Work with stakeholders to identify and complete work permit, residency, visa and immigration related documentation
 Advise all stakeholders on immigration issues, including candidates, employees, company management, and external agencies
 Initiate business visit visas / work visit visa requests through local authorities
 Prepare letters of invitation and obtain required attestation
 Attend third party offices / locations including various government agencies for certification legalization, translation, etc. of documents
 Update and maintain internal company information systems with changes in immigration actions according to immigration department guidelines
 Keep internal stakeholders informed of progress and work to identify immigration related solutions
 Manage immigration payments to settle immigration related payments and coordinate with accounts payable team regarding reporting requirements
 Act as a focal point of contact between government authorities and GSI for immigration related matters
 Act as subject matter expert and initiate cases with outside counsel when necessary
 Assist HR with administration-related task that may include but are not limited to filing, administering medical insurance plane, preparing personnel certificates, and assisting with leave management, on-boarding, and off-boarding logistics
 Manage and track renewal processes for the commercial licenses / certificates such as Commercial Registration, Municipality License etc.
 Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school degree is essential. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Has minimum 2 years’ experience in HR, public relation or immigration role.
