The Business Development Manager Benelux (BDM) will develop a sales structure and customer base for selected business lines of the Exertis Group in Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands. The BDM will be Exertis' first point of contact to retailers, distribution and other business partners and will act as a spearhead for the company's newly established business in those markets. This is a home based role with travel. The BDM will be part of an EMEA-wide team and will help develop and execute brand-led go to market strategies and solutions. The BDM will create and deliver retailer-specific sell-through strategies to ensure success of products/brands, utilising training methods and value-add services. Success in this role means that Exertis and the BDM will be appreciated and regarded by retailers and other channels as trusted business partners with highly specialized category management expertise and the ability to drive sell through, revenue growth and profit. There is scope for the right candidate to progress this role into a more senior one as the business in the territory expands. Role responsibilities * Implement go-to-market plans and sales plans as driven by Exertis EMEA team for selected brands/vendors with the aim of reaching revenue and profit targets, as set by the EMEA management. * Work with Exertis EMEA team to build and deliver the regional sales structure and customer base for the Benelux region; * Driving high level relationships with retail accounts * Building roll out plan for regional sales team * Providing qualified feedback on market conditions and reception to products * Work with all entities of Exertis to deliver supply chain, digital marketing, sell through and other solutions to Benelux markets * Build market intelligence data and analysis to deliver information on market trends and development to the EMEA management * Execute brand-led go to market strategies in line with company guidance and perform advisory role in local marketing campaigns * Create and deliver retailer-specific sell-through strategies to ensure success of products/brands, utilising training methods and value-add services * Attend relevant industry events and trade shows with the aim of building the Exertis brand within the Benelux retail market * Provide weekly reporting on activities and progress * Use company provided communication and task management tools Skills & Experience Essential * The right candidate will have significant experience in building and maintaining close working relationships with major CE retail and distribution customers in the Benelux area. * 5+ years relevant manufacturer/distributor sales experience in consumer electronics or similar industry * Higher level of education * Fluent Dutch and Business English * Business analytics and ability to interpret market data using Excel and web-based systems * The candidate will be highly proactive, managing their own day-to-day schedule and tasks in line with expectations from the Exertis EMEA team. * They will also be an adept problem solver and possess the ability to think strategically and creatively about how to apply their knowledge and experience to the changing consumer electronics market. * Willingness to learn and adapt * High level of communication skills and the ability to identify and influence key stakeholders * Driving licence and willingness to travel, passport Desirable * Additional languages of French or German
